Karnack Independent School District announces a vacancy on the Board of Trustees following the resignation of Trustee Elaine Jackson, effective March 17, 2026. The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Jackson for her dedicated service and contributions to the district.
In accordance with Texas Education Code §11.060 and Board Policy, the Board of Trustees will fill the unexpired term by appointment.
Qualified individuals interested in being considered for this appointment are invited to submit an application to the Superintendent’s Office no later than April 30, 2026.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a qualified voter
- Reside within Karnack ISD district boundaries
- Meet all legal requirements for school board service under Texas law
