Region 7 Education Service Center Head Start is officially accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year, offering early childhood education services designed to support growth, development, and school readiness.
Head Start provides a nurturing and structured environment for young learners, including services for children with disabilities. The program focuses on building a solid foundation academically, socially, and emotionally—helping children enter school ready to succeed.
Parents and guardians can begin the process by completing the Early/Head Start online pre-application. Once the application is started, families will need to provide several required documents to complete enrollment.
Required documents include:
-
Proof of income (tax return, SNAP benefits, TANF/SSI, child support, etc.)
-
Parent/guardian photo ID
-
Proof of physical address (utility bill, etc.)
-
Child’s birth certificate
-
Immunization records
-
Medicaid or private insurance card
-
Additional documentation if applicable (foster/kinship, guardianship, disability services, etc.)
These requirements ensure that families receive the appropriate services and support through the program.
